AUTHOR
MAKIS MALAFEKAS was born in 1977 in Athens. He studied art history and social anthropology. He has presented seminars at the Sorbonne on the history of European comics and worked at the École des Beaux Arts in Paris. He has published articles in Libération and Lifo and other magazines. Deepfake is his third novel. He lives and works between Brussels and Athens.
TRANSLATOR
JENNY STEEL is a London-born, Athens-based translator. She has degrees in Arabic and Farsi from Cambridge and International Affairs from Sciences Po, Paris. She is a member of the Greek Actors Union and the British Society of Authors, and published her first crime novel, Common Charges in 2025 under the name of Jenny King.
